Whenever i Feel Stressed or Overwhelmed, i Find Myself Eating Uncontrollably, Even When i’m not Hungry. i Feel Guilty Afterwards, but i Can’t Seem to Stop. What can i do to Break This Cycle?

First of all, please know that you’re not alone in this struggle, and there’s no need to be hard on yourself. Emotional eating is a common response to stress, and it’s important to approach it with compassion rather than self-criticism. When you feel the urge to eat emotionally, try to pause for a moment and ask yourself, ‘What am I really feeling right now?’ Sometimes, our bodies confuse emotional hunger with physical hunger. Instead of reaching for food, consider trying other comforting activities like taking a warm bath, journaling your feelings, or talking to a supportive friend. Remember, it’s about progress, not perfection. Celebrate small victories and be patient with yourself as you work towards healthier coping mechanisms. You have the strength within you to overcome this, and every step you take towards understanding and managing your emotions is a step in the right direction.
